Arriving in Mostoles – a hot and dusty suburb 35 minutes train-ride out of Madrid, it suddenly occurs to me. Instead of looking for huge dramatic signifiers of each particular crisis, what we have begun is rather a series of investigations into much smaller, non-spectacular, manifestations of something that might even be seen as partial occurances of the same crisis. The strange holes in the siberian tundra and the lack of proper housing here in the suburbs of Madrid. Very different, but still consequences of the same culture in crisis. Instead of 7 different crises – we might understand this as one larger crisis, appearing everywhere, in every dusty corner of th world. Different in appearence, but manifesting as consequences of the same systemic crisis.
